    There are plenty of groups, including both american political parties, trying to make us feel bad about what we are so they can be the agent of change we need. Its also every middle man trying to sell us something.

    This creates a natural mistrust and even suggesting we talk about these things can trigger people. But, luckily if we avoud our real deep-seated political hangups which are generally philosophical and unsolvable, we can find greater consensus on other things.

      The political parties exist wholly to perpetuate their own existence.

      They are not beholden to the constitution.

      They will do what ever it takes to 1) survive and 2) destroy competition (aka each other).

      I posit that, most of the time, they do not serve this country well, and some of the time, they are a disservice to the country and its citizens.

        It is time to turn our attention to the businesses that are profiting from the perpetuation of the broken party system.

        As far as politics, the first and foremost thing I think we should push for is rank order voting. The parties are scared of that shit. It got banned in Missouri recently. 11 states have banned it. That is absolutely absurd and a clear indication that the parties control the people not the other way around:
